Lifestyle Change
I have been working on the whole lifestyle change for the last couple of weeks.. mainly focusing on the eating portion. I have to admit that its really difficult. I am not "dieting" i am starting off with small baby steps and working towards something that I can stick with forever and that's just living healthy. I am eating smaller portions, eating less processed foods and more natural, and exercising. I no longer look at exercise as just going to the gym but rather getting some physical activity done. The other day I worked in the garden doing some digging and shoveling for about 1 hour and I definitely got my heart rate going. So far I feel great and I know that it will only get better. I still eat some things that I shouldn't but I am working on them.. I went to the gym two days ago and had a great work out. I was doing Jillian Michael's 30 day shred but have not been consistently doing it everyday.. ITS HARD! My day as far as eating goes wasn't that great.. I had way to much coffee today and I had a little too much chocolate.. ;) I didnt eat breakfast which is not a good thing. For lunch I had a small whole wheat bagel with hummus ( homemade) -a slice of low fat turkey breast and some mixed greens. I also had some grapes and organic chocolate chips.. YUMMY!
Dinner was black beans, baked brown rice ( GREAT RECIPE-From Food network.com) and chicken breast. I had a big mug of chamomile tea with honey about an hour afterwards. I am working on organizing some things in the office and then plan on going upstairs and taking a nice hot shower and snuggling up with my Huney. I have a long to do list for tomorrow.. TGIF!
